I ordered takeout here and realized that they forgot to put mango dressing on my salad after I drove home. No big deal, the food is always good here and still is, but... When I drove back to Island Style Cafe I was given a small container of dressing and requested another small container. An older lady (whom I assume is the owner) immediately jumped into the conversation and said that they charge 50¢ for extra dressing. Really? It's your mistake! I've already drove here twice. This is just poor customer service, but really just about the principle.

Great place for breakfast. Great service nice size portions. The pancake was crazy good. The place gets busy so be early.

Best Hawaiian food in San Diego hands down! Love going to this place for the great service and friendly atmosphere. By far my favorite thing to get is the Korean mix plate which has a combo or short ribs and Loren friend chicken, along with a side of fried rice and either a side salad or Mac salad. You can’t go wrong with the house dressing on the salad. And I’ve also really enjoyed ordering the açaí bowl! Great portion sizes for the price.

Excellent FRESH Breakfast, Puna Omlet, Pancakes, Eggs and Bacon. Hot Coffee and and the Waitress returns to refill Coffee. Felt the Hawaiian Vibes. Quiet Calm Atmosphere. The Waitress is Nice and Friendly. We have since returned a second time and enjoyed it as well. Nice Breakfast Gem is this Neighborhood!

Excellent food. The best teriyaki beef and kalbi of the Hawaiian restaurants. The kalbi actually has meat and not just bones-shocking, I know. The one complaint and something to watch out for is that their Mac salad has potato and tuna in it. I like it - gives it an interesting flavor - but some of my friends didn't.
